Mode Hotel Rimini: design, sustainability and safety

At Mode Hotel, fire safety was not treated as a constraint, but as an integral part of the architectural concept. ARQ Luxury Extinguishers were integrated into the lobby, corridors, and common areas with custom finishes fully aligned with the material context. For architects, this means solving a common challenge in every specification: reconciling fire safety regulations with visual continuity in the design.

A fire extinguisher, when left visible through ARQ design, becomes a fully integrated element while remaining immediately accessible: it enhances the perception of safety for users and reduces visual impact compared to standard solutions.

The common spaces, curated by Architect Laura Verdi, develop the concept “Stay Cosy in a Second Life,” where comfort and sustainability intertwine.
The entrance and vertical connections (staircases, elevators) are treated as experiential spaces: mosaics made from ceramic waste, recycled wall coverings, organic shapes, and sound-absorbing materials that enhance acoustic and visual comfort.

In these contexts, the integration of ARQ helps maintain clarity and safety along circulation paths without disrupting the architectural language.
